Yeah. It's ear ringing without a helmet and still loud with one...and I'm sure the neighbors love it.My chan with a b pipe and atp waterbox was SUPER loud and pingy.
My circus with pfp and waterbox is no where near as loud and more throaty.

If you run the plate a bit long this is definitely culprit, my Chan was the same and with the H2O box it was a bit loud for my liking. One thing I'll mention, I noticed on my ski, that the exhaust outlet @ times is above the lake, (out of the water) when it's the loudest.
Doesn't the chan have an extended hull/plate that would cause the exhaust tube to almost always be above and out of the water?
Wondering if this might be the issue
I've used multiple water boxes over the years and this setup is always loud. This same water box in a badass was much quieter. Why not get a quieter waterbox?

My ride plate is cut short, not flush, but about +2" from hull.
I doubt I'll cut open a perfectly fine ski just for this purpose but it's been on my mind for a year or more. I've made some short water box inlet and outlet extensions with solar composites carbon sleeve. I have zero worries about making the exhaust tube itself but more about proper fitment. In the end, I'm nearing the end of my stand-up career so it may b just a fleeting thought.
