Super Jet Extent of port work on this 61x if any?

Like the title says I'm curious what the extent of the port work if any has been done to this cylinder. When I bought the ski this came in I was told it was ported by xscream but I have my doubts now that it's been torn down. The top of the port windows still have a ledge but it looks like the runners going up the ports might have been cleaned up. Any input helps. I'm looking to sell the cylinder and don't wanna screw anyone over.

its clearly been done by somebody that doesn't know much about porting and doesn't have the required tools to get into the hard to reach places. the main ex port has been cleaned up. the transfers on the bottom have been sanded on , but the top of the transfers look untouched. i'd be willing to bet what ever was done was a waste of time and gave no noticeable performance increase over an untouched cyl.

That's kinda what I was thinking, but I've been reading that the "shelf" is part of the port timing. So I was wondering if that was maybe left alone for that reason. Correct me if I'm wrong I don't really know a whole lot about port work. Lol

if you are talking about the top of all the ports, that's where port timing IS changed. if you grind on the top, it raises the port and port timing. on the transfers, all the casting that partially closes / restricts the port is always cleaned up, raised, angled back and up for increased power. that's if you know what you're doing and have the proper tools. the main ex port gets widened, raised and reshaped depending on how radical you are building it. 62T cylinders don't have all that casting crap closing off the transfers like the 61Xs do.

Gotcha, even if this was a bum job the ski still hit pretty hard surprisingly on the bottom end.

Looks close to the sport port template on the exhaust. It doesnt look that bad of a job IMO. Whoever did it could have done it cleaner by taking the sleeves out, grind away, then finish with the sleeves reinstalled.
@TheBuzzard you dont think this extent of porting would make any difference at all?

Sure felt strong when it was together. Engine was very tired at the time too (160psi when it should have been up around 195psi).

It does look like a home job, not too bad IMO, better to not touch the transfers if you don't know what you are doing to them than go in there thinking you know whats up and grinding away based on what you read on the internet.
Looks like a decent job to me, I'd guess it runs better than stock.
Without actually measuring the exhaust port it's impossible for even a good engine builder to speculate on how it will/should run.
I would NOT list it as a Team Scream port job since you don't actually know.

Not planning on listing as that, kinda expected xscream to do better work lol. My old ski was a bit of a whore and made its rounds through several owners. It's hard to say what was left of the original when I finally picked it up.

it looks like a quality waste of time for sure. the main ex port doesn't look like enough has been done to it to make any noticeable difference. an unported, properly tuned 701 does hit pretty good. the local crazy Russian ported his own 61x and it had a light switch powerband. he said he just cleaned up the main ports and the casting flaws in the transfers. I didn't see the work and I didn't really like that powerband either. unless a 701 has been ported by a guru that can create a big difference, its still just a 701 in my eyes and if the main ex port isn't hogged out, why dick with it at all?
