extra transfer ports

Has anyone taken 61x cylinder or 62t and cut in 2 extra transfer ports. Kind of copy the lamey 7 port design?

Could be a fun little experiment to practice with porting tools and such.

Any way possible (with out spending foreverrr) modifying/going crazy to get seadoo power valves to work on a 62t cylinder too? haha

Yes its been done. Its been done on 550 reed cylinder, 650 kawi, 750 kawi, and a 701 yami. It did make various improvments to the engine, depended on what engine. It was done on 440 cylinders too. A lot of work.

Lamey sleaves are pretty cheap arent they? That set up is good for one thing, piston versatility IMO anyway. I have ridden lamey sleaved OEM cylinder motors and really saw no gaines over the other big bore sleaved OEM cylinders with good port jobs.
You can run the Kawi pistons in them though. Where would you find a blank sleave other than Lamey to do this type of porting anyway? I dont think it can be done with OEM sleave.

these were for sale on here a little while ago. I think these were ported by dasa. It would take a good porter to be able to cut that kind of port work IMO.

I never thought of just using lamey sleeves. Interesting. Although after purchasing lamey sleeves and such, it would just be more wise to purchase a real lamey cylinder.

Jetski9010- Those are not 62t cylinders right? Thats an aftermarket cylinder?

Reason not to just buy the real deal...Riding a built jet ski would just be a hobby for me. To go all out would be fiscally irresponsible for someone in my predicament.

I help out a good engine builder (harleys and 2 stroke dirtbike) a lot so he said he would help me out. Porting help setting port timing up and such.
