EZ-SKI HITCH HAULER PICTURES!

Also has anyone been bothered by popo with their license plates being covered?
No it is not legal to block the plate. There are a lot of things that aren't legal though. I've driven with one for years and across multiple states and never been stopped for it.

It's a risk but worst case a stern warning or fix it ticket.

If you want to be 100% legal, it should be relocated (with a light).

Got the receiver mounted. Rated for 400 lbs without the 12" extension I had to use to get past the spare tire. Still have a few things to do. Adding lights to it because the ski definitely blocks the tail lights.

So what's the best way to secure your ski to these? Just wrap a ratchet strap around the whole thing or is there a better way? I currently have a versahaul carrier and it has a bow stop and pin.
(In case anyone is wondering the versahaul is junk and will probably fall apart within the next couple years.)

Two tie down points on the bottom, center. One to the bow, one to the stern, a 3rd strap around the middle & handle pole.

As AirJunky replied we used one ratcheting strap from the front of the ski to one of our welded d-rings, and another ratcheting strap from the rear of the ski to the other welded d-ring. these straps will pull against each other and downwards at the same time and in nine years of production we have not had any single failure reported. a lot of our customers also like to wrap a third tie down around the entire ski and the bunks if they are going a far distance.

As for the bow pin debate this has been going on for quite some time and we have made a few units with a custom bow pin however the majority consensus is that a bow pin only allows you to launch/retrieve from one side of your carrier, and depending on what launch ramp you are using or where you are launching this can sometimes be a problem. especially if you have novice boat launcher or ski launchers to one side of your vehicle it causes you to have to wait whereas with our carrier you can choose to launch off either the driver or the passenger side. the bow pin stop also makes the unit quite bulky and costs a lot more in shipping. as for your comment regarding the versahaul.. I am not here to bash other people's products however if you just look at the facts... that carrier is DOUBLE the price of ours .. is made in China and comes with no warranty. (and the shipping is about double as well) again just stating facts. hope everybody is revving up for an awesome season we are in full swing manufacturing carriers again as we are every year at this time. I would like to again thank all the members of this forum for supporting our product and helping it grow throughout the years. Cheers ..

for comparison.. Versahaul $510+ 120ish shipping

Chris,
Do you have these ready to go or is there a production lead time?
right now is an excellent time to order because the build time is only 4 to 5 days including the time it takes to have the rhino liner applied. the closer we get to Summer the longer the wait time goes.. for an example at our peak last year there was a 3 to 4 week wait. please feel free to text me at 928-846-7647.

Pretty stoked on mine! Only thing I wish it had was more tie down points, would be nice to have a couple near the ends of the bunks and not just underneath

Love the strap idea with the pool noodle!

I use a pool noodle as well. It's tough with the AM hulls that have no rear hookup point. I bought some stainless ratchet straps (no hooks) and lag bolted one to the underside of one of the bunks to strap kinda in the same spot as that tigercraft above ^^. I feel a bit more comfortable that the strap wont slide off this way and i always have the strap with the hauler. I then just run one strap from the bow hook to the underside of the hauler. Works pretty well. very happy with my hauler!

Alright guys I NEED SOME HELP ..lol , This site has helped me out so much its unbelievable and HOPEFULLY my product and price range has been able to lend a hand to the members of this site. With that being said I am in a predicament... in a nutshell , Craigslist USED to be free and it was 80% of my advertising strengths to get the word out about these haulers.Well the time has come ( mostly due to my frequency of posting on CL). where they want to charge for my ads per month.. ugg it is what it is..What I need YOUR help with is to figure out in your guys opinion WHERE the BEST cities (places) would be to post the EZ-SKI ad. Right now i am looking at most likely 10 cities or places nationwide to have the ad posted . I already have the following spots taken out of those 10 ( just because they are where the majority of sales come from)
Inland Empire California
Mohave Co. Arizona (havasu laughlin parker)
Las Vegas NV
So 7 spots left .. ( large jet ski communities , lots of lakes? , )

BIG Kahuna... is there a way to put up a poll of some sort so people could vote? hopefully people would put thought into it not just vote for the hometown LOL.

If you guys have any Ideas please let me know ... i appreciate all of your help genuinely. Chris@Ez-SKI

Have you posted any ads on Facebook? Some of the jetski pages have 10K or so followers and that gets publicity rather quickly.

While we’re on the topic of marketing ideas, I’d suggest adding a sticker to your haulers with your site. People always ask me where I got mine but if I’m in the water at the beach or something at least people would know where I got it
