Ez ski loading?

I saw lots of guys at a local spot this past weekend using the ez ski sorta ideas (hitch mount)

I know guys are using them, but are they using them alongside beach carts or do these function well at boat launches?

I ask because Ive been on the fence about grabbing one I question weather or not my Tacoma hitch sits too high.

Anyone else able to dunk their ez skis to minimize solo lifting at a boat launch?

You just have to be willing to back your rear axle, brakes, etc into the water far enough to load/unload. Once you've accepted that fate, it works fine. MUCH easier with someone to load/unload the ski for you while you back into the water.

Thanks. Maybe I'll give it a test run at my local ramp prior to purchasing and see how close I get the hitch haha.

I'm fortunate to only use the ski in freshwater. The truck get so much salt during the winter maybe it needs a freshwater dump every once and a while haha!

Back in the day I used to back the GMC down far enough that the tailgate was touching the water, I literally rode it into the back of the tuck bed.

This is the type of dolly that our best jet skier buddy uses to load and to unload his ski from his receiver hitch hauler without backing his truck into the water. He lifts the aluminum dolly which is quite light out of the back of his pickup truck, then uses the winch to pull the ski off of the receiver hitch hauler onto the dolly and wheels the dolly into the water and launches it.

To load, he wheels the dolly into the water, slides the ski onto it (just like a beach stand), then hooks the winch to the stern eye, then lines the dolly up with the hitch hauler and slides it onto the hitch hauler.

He can do it in less than two minutes.

It is quite an ingenious system. If you are interested I can ask him the exact manufacturer of his dolly.
