SX/SXi/SXi Pro Factory dry pipe (wetttt????)

JETSKIBRATTTT

NO WATER, NO PROBLEM!!!!!
I've got a 96 750sx
I'd like to know if i can run my Factory dry pipe without using my msd, ecwi, unit or water flow resistors, (can i just let it flow) constantly?
What are the pro's and cons of this ?
I still think it's gotta be better than running just stock exhaust
FACTORY PIPE CLAIMS ****26 HORSIES****
any info/insight would be appreciated
This baby is beautiful and i want to use it
I just don't trust electronic water control
thx

Without water injection it's best perform at high rpm, with water injection you can get better low end performance. you can run it completly dry . About ''just let it flow'' I don't know

I have been running water straight to mine for 3 years, I have a 100 jet in the head pipe with a valve in line that I can control how much water goes to it. You can adjust it for low end or dry it out for all around or shut it off if you want to run topend, works great!

you can run it with no ecwi on a sx cylinder as the porting is mild.factory did the ecwi for the sxi/sxipro with more radical port specs.

NO WATER, NO PROBLEM!!!!!
Anyone else?
More info:
I believe the pipe is fully jacketed(strange to me though) and still called a dry pipe ?
The water injection clicks in, (on/off) at different rpm intervals to supply more horsies (mid -more to top end
anyways
all experience info is appreciated
thx

I ran the dry pipe on both an sxi-pro limited and superstock set-up, both w/o the water inj. If you do this, install a jet in the stinger end fitting. Try different sizes and see what works best for your platform. Power results will be different from ski to ski depending on the level of mods you have. Good luck! d

JetSkiBrattt... What do you want to know about this pipe finally ? Yes it is water jacketed to keep it cool.
DryPipe... it is dry inside the pipe at some RPM to let the temperature goes up witch is faster for the sonic waves... The ECWI let some water come inside to cool down (Slow) the sonic waves. The sonic waves have an effect on performance.
For more information take a look at Factorypipe.com... They have a lot of informations about all this technical details.

NO WATER, NO PROBLEM!!!!!
I've read all the technical
what i'm looking for is direct experience with it
is it reliable?
Is it a true 26 horse power increase?
Whats the best setup ?
Can i just run with out the ecwi unit?

I have this pipe ready to install
and i just don't want to be rippin' 'er out again the next day , due to poor performance or a wrong setup .
Trust me
i don't even know how i'm gonna get 'er in my hull
these damn paws of mine
hehehehe

I have my FP dry pipe since july 2001 and trust me, I did a lot of JetSki since then. When I installed the pipe, my ski was bone stock. At that time I met a canadian JetSki racer (#2 in the pro class in canada) wich is still a friend of mine. When he tryed my ski he could'nt believe my JetSki was stock. He used the old Factory pipe and could'nt belive the dry pipe was a good set-up. He tryed my ski and he changed is mind. Finally he changed his pipe for a dry pipe. He found the FP dry pipe needed less compression.

I never install a better aftermarket parts on any JetSki I've ridden for the last 17 years I'm in the JetSki.

In all this time I had a broken aluminium tube and a broken bracket on the pipe. Factory Pipe repaired it for free. The ECWI is a must, I burned a couple of fuse on ECWI but replaced it. Also I need to replace some O'ring on the HeadPipe, that's all...No other problem with performance, parts, electronics, NOTHING. I still have the JetSki and the FP pipe is still the pipe.

Go ahead man you won't be desapointed...

Just put it on and don't forget to change jetting in your carb (or carbs if you run doubles) according to Factory pipe specs (you can find them on Factory pipe web site) and rip it.
