Factory Limited Pipe install.

I'm getting ready to (finally) install my limited pipe. Anything I need to look out for? This is going on my '02 Pro. Hood modification tips? The boat is stock so I will be using the carb jets and settings outlined in the install instructions. How do you guys have your head pipe screws set for good overall performance? Any tips will be appreciated.

Did you get #75 Low Jets, to Replace the 67.5 that were OEM? Factory list this on the Instructions: Pilot Jet : 75 (Stock). the stock Pilot jets were 67.5 in those for the 750's.

Yes. I've got the 75 and 80 low jets. Just installed the JRE block off plate under the starter. I can't wait to ride it. Everyone has hyped up this pipe so much. I hope it lives up to it.

bottom 1/2 turn out, mid closed, top 1/4 out is where mine ended up at. Thats what was suggested to me and I used it, havent tried messing with it lol

as for the hood you gotta cut off the front chamber, I went a little farther than that and cut out the whole liner, blocked off the front intake and opened up the rear inatke. I just reinforced the sides around the seal lip and added some pvc elbos and shop vac hose from the air box I made in the back.

It made a huge difference on my 02 pro compared to the factory mod pipe I tried first. carb tuning will be key in performance. Nice gti in the garage you got there, Im a VW/Subaru tech here in St.Louis

Thanks! I'm a VW tech here in Marietta. One of our parts guys is from St. Louis.
Carbs are coming off tonight for a refresh and rejet. I'm going to tune it this weekend. Can't wait!

You should drill out other cooling outlet on your head.
Rear head outlet to bottom of headpipe. Front head fitting straight out to pisser. Top head pipe goes to a T. Straight through to 2nd pisser. Bottom part of T to the stinger. Open bottom screw on headpipe1/4 no more. If you still need to cool pipe use top screw. Keep middle closed. This is what somebody told me and it works perfect. I had to add 1/4 to top screw. I like to run her a little cooler.

Thanks for the input! I'll be in the garage working on it tonight. Sunday and Monday we will be on the water.
We have a big ride coming up. The Southern Fried Freeride. I wanted to install the system before the ride.

Rode the ski all day today. All I can say is wow! It really woke the ski up. Throttle response is much improved. Top end is awesome. I ate it big at top speed cause I'm not used to the speed. I highly recommend this pipe.

Good to hear you liked the pipe. I'm redoing my '92 750SX and adding the same Factory Limited pipe.
I'm also a VW tech. I see a GTI and Cabrio with Porsche Phone Dials? I have an '04 R32 and an '80 Caddy 2.0 16V.

Nice! I love VW's. I've got three GTI's. The 2010 you see. A mint MK2 16v and a MK1 GTI. The Cabrio is the wife's. Currently up for sale. She got an Abarth Fiat. The 928 phone dials will be for sale too with the adaptors.
