Yep I would be in for either ride. Not sure about driving 3.5 hours and there not even be surf or cruisers. But then again I can ride Lanier anytime.

The one good thing bout this time of year is-NO boats of any kind-incl boat patrol!!! We have the lake to ourselves-all 500 miles of shoreline. It gets boring-but its nice not having to look over your shoulder. I was serious about working on the people at Smith Lake Park to let us take over the park for a weekend if yall will committ to a weekend and let me know when. Pick a couple different dates that are good for u and I will make it work.

ill work my schedule around any weekend for either late sept. or anytime in oct.

Speegle's marina would be a keen launch site because you can actually drive the truck down to the waterline. Very handy for tool access / gas. It's only 3 miles or so from Smith Lake Park - campsite.

Gill, check with the old geezer at misty harboor marina or clear creek while your at it.:cheer:

Nah....just make setupwakes

Surely someone knows peeps with a wakeboard boat that would come out and set us up some waves for a while. We could all throw $5 or so in a hat and buy them 20 gal of gas for their trouble. Flat water is cool, but some wave action would make for some extra fun.
