Favorite free ride and why?

I’m fairly new to the sport and have never been to a free ride, so basically what I want to know is what’s everyone’s favorite event and why?

I live in Michigan so there aren’t any really big ones local (that I know of) but I’d like to take a trip and see what they’re all about!

Oh Man, you just opened Pandora's Box.

For me. I like the Southern Fried Freeride. There are no raffles, no competitions........ Just laid back, everybody hang out, camp, and ride.

Dont get me wrong, I like Daytona Freeride also. But for the past 4 years, I have not gone to the raffles nor cared to. But to each his own. But it is great seeing riders from all over the country that you only see once a year!.

Since you’re in Michigan, you should check out WaveRave. I haven’t gone to it, but it looks real relaxed and fun. Kind of on the smaller scale compared to Daytona and WaveDaze.

I’ve heard of waverave, don’t know much about it though. I’ll have to look into it!

Like BK said, very laid back atmosphere and pretty much just a hang out and ride weekend. I will have even more fun next year when I actually know how to ride!

Pismo Freeride is killer.

The little freeride that is Ensenada, Mexico is really cool too. It's a great weekend trip. Best tacos you'll ever have.

Great Times down in Mexico for sure the old days truly a Freeride!! Wild Crazy ANYTHING go`s drunken times well those days are gone. Its just not safe to camp on the beach in Mexico imo but Estero Beach in Ensanada is really a perfect jetski spot has a flatwater place to set up buoys and a surf break too is quite secure but isnt cheap as you have to stay at the hotel . But on the west coast Pismo is it, the spring break is really popular .
