Ive seen a few people on the boards with these just figured id get some feed back . My back is a little messed up thinking about ordering one in the future. I here chris desighned it because of a bad back. Does any one have a pic with someone standing on one? Also how long does it take to change back to a pole if you have one? Will be riding mostly at lanier due to amount of large boats .Hows it compare to a sj with pole.

If anything it would make your back worse............ Smitty had one of the first ones, it messed his already messed up shoulder up even worse... I rode it, brutal on flat water.
i thought i saw some one say thats why he built it.is the bars that low. my backs dfferent then a shoulder. just wasnt sure how far you lean over on it.im dealing with a bulging disk.my doctor says not to ride stand ups maybe get a sit down i just laughed.

They are awesome. I would love to have one. I have ridden Wavedemons a few times and I really liked it. Once I can afford to buy one and have another ski to put it on I plan on getting one.
If I had to decide between a pole ski or a conversion ski I would pick the pole ski, but if I had two ski's I would leave one a pole ski and make the other a conversion ski.

It is a great system. just a shame it didn't take off. please give me a call sometime & I would be glad to chat with you about it. I know Chris still has one on the shelf. I'm sure he would make you a killer deal on it

From 24/7/Maros: "Back Fatigue: This is all but a thing of the past. From years of racing my back is all but shot, and throughout our test session back fatigue was never an issue. The handle bars can be raised or lowered via 0.5” aluminum machined pods to adjust to your comfort level. You can also choose your favorite motocross bend bars to feel even more at home. We had riders from 5'6" to 6'3" test the H2O-x and were comfortable at its stock height. For those of you who think the bars will have you leaning too far forward… Look at any 10 pictures of people riding standups. I know at least 8 of the 10 have the person crouched with the pole only 2” - 10” above the hood (You naturally crouch when riding). In addition with a conventional pole you are unable to support your weight with your arms adding to back stress. We tried many bar locations with many different size riders and this setup by far outshined any other bar placement.

Hmmmmmmmm, I rode Smitty's when it was only about 1 month old back in 2003 at the JAM in Nashville, My back was sore just from riding it. But again, this was flat water, the conversion was inteneded more for surf.

No, This is all Chris's design. What I did was install on a riders boat ( David Natkie) & put it thru it's paces.... Then make suggestions as to what worked & what didn't, & how to improve upon it. Chris then made the changes & the process started all over again. The final product was the Blue/orange/white hood that one of the Fla guys has.
The outer shell never changed from day one, but the baffle & steering head had several improvments from the origional design.
As for back fatigue? every rider is differant, while I didn't care much for the kit, Chris had great results. The kit shined in the surf!!! I really only had limited time in the Flat, not enough to make a fair judgement call.
I do know it caused back problems for Smitty.
The Fla guys have logged more Hours than anyone else at this point.
I belive they are only using it in the surf only. Their input would be the most valuable.
