What is the inside temp of the place you'll be glassing? From what I've heard, the 2-1 takes a looong time to cure unless your temp is 70+

Go with the fast hardener. I tried the medium the first time and some days it took 24 hours to cure(50-60 degrees) The fast stuff with a heater on it before and after laying the glass still takes about 2 hours to get tacky.

Everything I read said the 3-1 wasn't as good as the the 2-1, cured to fast of something but I will be doing all the work in my house where it's 72 degrees no matter what.

Post #5 has a good point (plastic wrap) o/ resin cloth. Let's you squeeze extra resin out. Smoothing, shaping, and compressing (evenly distributed weight) but..... you can let the epoxy set up up w/o removing the plastic wrap.

Those of us (in the cold) might not want their heater to run all night....what I found works GREAT is an electric heat blanket, hug the part, and secure check back quickly 'cause that sheet will kick quick. Something about focusing that heat works so much better than space heaters.

All great info! Has no one really made a video of them doing any of this? I feel like it would be a great help for anyone who's just starting to get Into it like myself.

One other question how long do you need to wait in between layers and how many layers should the tray be? I'm using the 17 ounce biaxial for the tray and walls then going to go over it with a tight woven Ecloth to help seal things up.
