Super Jet Finally back on a ski

That nose looks nice Lazy! How much turf did you use? Should I order two sheets or did you get away with one?

If your doing the whole ski I would order two

I ordered the square nose kit and side rail kit, and an extra sheet from Blowsion just in case. I had to re-do the back mat because the pre-cut was too small so it was a great idea to have that extra sheet.

Well, here it is. After two long weeks and countless hours the ski was finally started last night. Taking it on the lake today, hoping everything runs smoothly. Will post updates later but for the meantime here are a few pics..

Thanks guys.

Took it out on the lake for the first time Sunday. Man does this thing rip! Definitely sore today.

Had a few issues that need to be addressed:

- Hood seal needs to be changed

- All of the turf that was wrapped under the rails has to be re-glued. I was warned that wrapping it around would not work. The only spots that didn't hold were those that were glued with DAP. The spots where I had used marine epoxy are on there very well. I am going to do a light amount on the rest of the spots under the rail before my next ride. Seemed to do the trick. Might be a pain to take off one day but by that point I'm sure I'll have some decent power tools to use.

- A bolt broke off the steering nozzle

Other than that I am really impressed with the power this thing has.

Oh, and I had to add something to cover that rear roll sticker..

Most of the turf jobs I saw had that but I wanted it to be nicer to grab when carrying it. Either way looks fine.
