That I SUCK!!! HAHA I got better at the end of the day, but man I cant turn for crap! Watchin the videos and stuff you guys post make it look easy.. I need some pointers on how to improve.. Practice makes perfect, but man that ski was all over the place, The tray is so narrow, it any weight change cause the ski to bobble and weave.. I had a hard time finding a comfortable stance where I wasn't fighting with the handler bars to stay up!! By the end of the day I was doing alot better.. I noticed though the pump unhooks very easy.... would a grate help this? Any tips welcome! :arms:

Just ride on your knees in the tray to start with, then start getting up, if you feel you are starting to loose it then give it throttle.........it' ll straighten itself out, if not, drop down to your knees again.........then do it all over again until you get it right, like the other guys on this board. (I'm still trying).

When in doubt. Throttle out. It's never been so true. Don't worry, by your third time out you'll be turning pretty well and getting a lot more comfortable!!! figure eights and slalom are your friend when learning to ride. They are too much fun!

ya, I was practing figure 8's alot yesterday. I can stand right up and go and do slow turns, but I'm still pretty unstable in quicker turns especually back to back turns. I have to get used to how small that tray is! I think a grate and prop might help. Unfortuant;y where I ride its choppy most of the time, the pump comes pretty easy. Any recomendations I have heard the worx grate... what about prop? I want to learn freestyle if that helps with prop selection.

Go get 'em. My brother and two buddies are out riding and I am sitting at home  If you 'push down' with your feet when going into a sharper/faster turn you can tell a huge difference in 'grip' of the ski. You'd be surprised on how well the ski turns when going faster and turning sharper.:Banane01:

Don't worry about the stance (which foot goes in front of which foot), do whatever is comfortable for you.
The grate and prop will not smooth out the learning curve........ however they will help you in the handling and response, once you get fairly comfortable on it.

btw, what is the water temp where you rode today?

I have no idea what the water temp was... I had wet suit on the first day, then just the top have on the 2nd, I got cold eventually the 2nd day where I didn't the first. It wasn't to bad though pretty warm.

I did alot better the 2nd day! I hate the stock hand grips!

A prop and grate will help keep me hooked up though correct?

Oh boy ,your hooked now.

Just get low and put more throttle around turns. Good job.
