Finished up my custom hitch hauler this weekend.
Criteria when I was designing it:
-Have a nose pin so I just need a strap on the rear, rather than putting a strap over the hood.
-Nose tube removable so it could store flat (no 4 car garage here).
-Custom strap that clipped on so I don't have to fumble with the tie down ends while in the water.
-Beefy.
I used 2" .250" wall tube, 1.5" .188" angle iron, 1.5" .188" wall tube (1.5" .125" tube for the slip fit), and 1.25" .188" wall tube. Had it powder coated gloss white to match my ski (and truck). Ordered the parts and made the custom ratchet strap to length.
I plan on replacing the bunks with Trex and t-nuts so the screws do not stick through.
