just fix it and go insurance most times dont help they just total bikes and then ur screwed

since the doctor at the hospital put a new cast on last week and strong armed my damn hand i think ive been getting more pain/swelling in my hand/pinky finger. i hate this hospital it is a pain in the ass. should i go back and have them take a look or u think its normal being theres a 2 inch nail in my bone?

I figured i'd do a bit of conclusion to this.. Everything is just about back to normal.
The bike is fixed and cost me so far about $1500, only thing left is a couple small blemishes here and there but im perfectly fine with it. The frame tab on the front of the bike that supports the fairing stay was bent. With the front end installed the nose fairing didn't line up with the side fairings. It was a bit bent to the right, so I took a piece of scrap 1/8" steel plate and bolted it to the stay. I then gave it a couple whacks with a heavy hammer and got it perfect. I was able to take it for a short test ride on Sunday.
Im back to work as of saturday, it's a bit painful with my shoulder but im getting by fine. My left arm is extremely weak, it's useless. After a while of working I have to rest my arm so I keep my left hand in my jacket pocket and use it as a sling, it helps relieve the pain! However, I think i'll be 100% for jet skiing in spring

Good to hear you recovered OK. Be careful bro, people are crazy in this ny/nj metro area. No respect for two wheels. Heres my R!, post head-on collision. And the reason why I switched to water riding

I been thinking the same thing, its just too congested here and people are just plain idiots, add in that most motorists dont look for a motorcycle so the odds are against us. I think I am going to ride this bike for a little while longer and see how I feel. I may turn around in the end and just sell off the Ducati for a pontiac g8 or something IDK i'll see what happens. All I know is I want to get back on the bike.

In a nutshell, broke every bone except my neck, some in 2-3 places. Just about severed leg off, but technology is great and I still have it. Main thing was my helmet did its job and I'm not a vegetable.
Exactly what I was sayng in the icu, strung up like an erector set with all the ex-fixators. As much as I loved my hot nurses I want to wipe my own ass. Just keep it above 90 and you'll be fine!

Man, what a beautiful bike. Joe told me about the accident, after it happened. Glad you're ok. Ive been looking for a bike but living in Long Island always deters me due to the lack of cool roads and complete morons alive and able to move vehicles.
