One of these days I'll get around to trying a d-cut rideplate on my ski. I have tried them before, but they've always been on other people's skis.

In my opinion I just don't think this guy should cut up a Jet Dynamics plate because

1. You're going to have 2 very sharp pointy edges sticking out:bigeyes:

and

2. Why ruin a good plate when you can cut up a cheap stocker.

totally... the stock one cut is best for surf anyway...

$170 rideplate if you don't even know whether or not you would like it. Hell you could sell that plate for good money then buy a cheap stock plate and you'd have money back in your pocket.

Oh and you also might want to open up the rear vents a little more when you seal up the front vents on the hood to compensate for the loss of air flow.
170$?
danm maybe i wont cut it then, ill swap it out with a plate i already did and see. think someone would buy this jd plate? i heard they suck??

I bet you could easily sell it. I used to think I was the only one that liked the rideplate until I went to the Daytona Freeride and saw quite a few ski's using them. Some of the ski's were those of some big name riders too.

Actually come to think of it a few guys in my riding group (Gulf of Mexico Riders) want to buy this plate after riding my ski. Post that you have one for sale in our Riding Group section and I'm sure it will sell.

What are you talking about.
My cut JD ride plate is commonly refered to as "the dagger".

Don't forget about tubbies.
Where are you located? Congrats on the clean ski.

1. block off front hood intake-free/cheap
2. bilge pump-looks like i can assemble something for about 60$
3. hood straps 30$
4. outerwears for the flamers -30$
5. foot holds, wells or straps.. cheap/expensive!leaning to a strap!
6. shorten (and reinforce/refoam?) the handpole 40$
7. grips 20
8. throttle 70
9. cut rideplate free
10. tubbies 300

not bad! tubbies may have to wait a while, but the rest can be done
