First stand up

I am looking to buy my first stand up, and I have found a good deal on a modded SXi Pro. I know everyone says SJ are the
way to go, but I just want it for carving on a lake and some basic tricks. I'm too old and wore out to to go in the surf or get too crazy. Besides, SJ's
cannot be found here in central Virginia. I do like to go fast, and this seems to be a pretty fast ski. Any opinions or advice is appreciated.

Kawi is a decent starter ski
I enjoyed my 750sx for a season then handed it down to my son and got a SJ
Fun ride, good ski, but not ideal for freestyle
If you are not hardcore, it will be fine
Oh, and WELCOME TO THE X!!!!!!!!!!! :Banane25:

I recommend a tricked out 550.
I get flak for it though.

Everyone will say it doesn't have enough power, yada yada.

I say: go to a free ride and ask to ride some people's skis.

From what you have said, then an SXR is the boat for you -- carving and simple jumps and tricks..The SXR is very fast right out of the box, but add a couple mods and it really moves.

For freestyle no question the super jet and aftermarket hulls are the way to go.
