Havasu is a cool place to go tho. If you have been to other freerides you may or may not like it. Id love to try Daytona beach one of these years to check it out

Had some problems with my ski. It ran great for a little while then wouldn't rev up. I have spark in front and rear cylinder, and I pulled my carbs to make sure the internal filter wasn't clogged but it turns out they don't have one. I also checked my return restrictor jet and it was clear. I pulled my msd just to verify timing and it was advanced a little. I uses the plastic washers supplied with the kit. Does everyone else use those or should I toss them? I also found that my flywheel cut one of my pickup wires.

I fixed it and zip tied the wires really tight and made sure they sit flat agents the grommet. I out the flywheel on and spun it by hand and it still hits. Flywheel to grommet clearance is only 2mm. Tricky said he just uses the back 2 holes for all 4 wires. Anyone else had this issue?

I no this sounds weird but on the rubber grommet put the 2 pick up wires in the rear holes so 2 in 2 it won't cut it but that's probably your issue the cut wire

I got it all back together last night. That's what I ended up doing and it worked. I made a limiting rope last night and used some fancy bungee clip ends I got from west marine and incorporated a custom chafe guard ;-)

I finally got a little bit of tray time and I like it. I've never rode a dvx before this. I've been on a kdx and was told the dvx was easier to ride. I was afraid it was going to have too much static trim and ride really nose but it doesn't. I'm also kind of a big guy. It's also pretty forgiving compared to some skis I've rode. Now to get where I can ride more than a tank at a time. It seems like every time I go out something happens. Yesterday the ski died when I landed and I fell over the bars. No spark and the msd doesn't have power. Hopefully it's just something easy like a connector come loose.

That bushing is certainly to blame. 22 years of MSD t/l and we still can't get the bushing right! Msd used to furnish a pale yellow bushing that had the habit of shrinking after awhile, permitting water to enter the f/w housing. Now this funny thing in above pic! I've been using repurposed stator bushings see my next post.

Notice how much farther inboard Yam placed the stator wires! Also please note that small tapped hole at the 10 o'clock position on the stator. O the other side- not visible - is a clamp which retains the cabling. The black wire is an additional ground wire. -This has been in use by me for about 4 years- no failure yet. Keep in mind that the wires , if not secured properly , will vibrate in that environment. Since Msd is using rather improper wire- finely stranded, tin plated wire is certainly available in the US- it also loves to fracture near the pick up module entry point. That is why I used those RTV blobs.

The ski runs like a champ! Thanks to #Zero for the flywheel magnet. I even stuck my first flat water backflip thanks to N3vrSat1sfied. Coming from my superjet I keep wanting to go too fast.

wow what a drag, the fw magnet fell out, that must have been fun to diagnose and hunt down. Being from texas and a motor head and mechanical,I cant believe you dont have a inducted sports car. Texas nationals is so much more fun than havasue world finals, the 2 cant even compare.

This past weekend was my first time flipping it off a boat wake. I did a few with trim and one huge no trim flip.
