fix a tank...build a tank??

They say not to use it on a fuel tank because they don't want to be sued when some retard decides to take the propane torch to something under pressure with gas still in it. If you were smart about it, I don't see why using it on a gas tank wouldn't be possible.
 
so u cut the part thats closest to the engine of then remove some of the tank and seal it up again ...>> then you could ploace the battery in the middle between angine and tank ?

I wouldn't trust a tank modded with that stuff in my ski. If you can't find an existing tank that matches your needs just fab one up out of cardboard and take it to a dune buggy shop and have them weld you up one out of aluminum. Back in the day I made an oversize tank for one of my skis this way, it cost me about $300.
