Surfriding Fixing footrocket footholds/ other options?

Im having issues with the foot rocket foot holds. They seem like a good idea but they are terrible. Has anyone modified them enough to where they liked them?
I was also thinking of trying to put in the rickter ninja holds. Has anyone done this..? Im more of a "kick in" kind of guy.

I've recently gone to ninja holds and I can kick into them perfectly with these shoes.

Required drilling additional hole for mounting each hold. Only issue is not being able to adjust front to back without taking the hold off first, which I'm more than happy to do given how much better they are.

Are you having a problem with staying in them or with them mounting to the ski? I don't like the sharp edge that is easy to kick and cut your foot so I added a layer of turf and wrapped it around the edges, helped quite a bit

I can get in them fine, they are too loose though. So, i adjusted them down 1 notch to make them tighter and they are definitely NOT "kick in" friendly... I hit that sharp edge once and said NOPE, something needs to be fixed. I re padded 1 and wrapped the sharp edges in padding but id didnt do much. They are an overall bad design for my riding style.

This is perfect. Did you just drill holes in the ninja pads to bolt into the krash rail?

Yes, I used the existing krash foothold brackets. The mounting holes for the ninja holds are too far apart. I used the existing rear hole to make sure I could get the holds as far back as possible and drilled a new front mounting hole in the hold to match the width of the existing krash bracket. On one hold I did have tho grind the fiberglass down a little so the head of the bolt would sit flush.

I can take more detailed pictures later if needed.

I would appreciate more photos. Do they flex at all? I know my krash holds flex quite a bit.

I think the original Krash holds were better than the current ones. I've never kicked the edge, and I don't have to kick hard to get in. They go up to my ankles to lock me in rather than only getting my toes in like most skis, which means I have to kick harder...

I added a 25mil gray strip just over the laces of the shoe and wrapped with turf. I've also trimmed the heel of the holds so its more of a straight kick in.

Those looke better than mine. I like that yours don't have the ankle support. That's preventing me from getting comfortable.
what does he charge for a pair?

i think i payed 150 unpadded if you want him to pad it will be extra he also sells a bracket kit but you dont need them just drill your own holes in foothold ! you can use stock mounting brackets so they will still be adjustable ! carbon fiber also! pm me for his number of fb him!

The best "universal" footholds I've found are the RRP ninjas.. they don't hurt when kicking in and you stay locked due to the hold grabbing your entire foot. They are just comfortable to me.
