You can roll anything off of a small wave. Power helps a lot as far as how clean the roll is......and I think is pretty essential for a water to water BR. I local rider rolled my 650 SJ last season but it took quite a bit of effort........and skill no doubt.

Ditto what Slut said............ in surf all you need is footholds and practice. Flatwater requires a little enhancement.

just getting ideas. I'm going to start riding my bro's square a lot more on the lake when I can't get out on the gulf. His ski seems to have all the essntials. pipe, prop, and footholds.

If he has pipe, prop, footholds - you are equipped. Watch some vid, sack up, and hit it.

so essentially what you are saying is that it is the guy with the little thing theory. gotta have the better faster ride to make up for his lack in other areas??

From personal experience, I'd say it's best to ride & learn tricks with less power.
That way, you learn to depend on your personal technique, rather than power.

I would say throttle response is more important than gobbs of low end power. If the ski is responsive you should be able to pretty much do everything to some degree.

PRACTICE. I believe skill comes from practice and persistance. Trying until you get it. Over and over and over and over . . . until . . .

I don't know what the number is but I bet I've tried at least 300 times maybe more. Every 10 or 20 tries I get a little glimpse of what to do change to get better.

I won't quit until I get it or die trying. And I'm gonna get it. :headbang:

It's one of your old ski that I'll be trying on... :headbang:

No promises It's just a time killer, I was just curious if I had the tools to do one.

Balls and Cl's always works for me!

Another mod that helps a bit it to modify the steerring nozzle so it turns quicker and sharper.

Oh yeah, and it helps if you go ride with somebody that can do them!
