Flat water flip guys. What's your most frequent fail?

Nice vid subhard. Good proof you don't need big HP to flip, just good technique. Your head is just about at the water line as you come around. Good confidence builder for sure....:)

I have a carbon Rok 927 decked and ported. TL, 46 specs and 144 mag. It's been a challenge but everything has came together and it rips now. I know Rok's arnt known as flipping hulls but as fast as the nose comes up now that the power is there I'm sure it is capable. Poped my ankle good early this year and it has taken some of my fearlessness away from me I will admit. I'm going to go for it this weekend thou n see if I can pull one off....

I'm 45 and still huckin it. Flips are softer landings than 360's for me. Well not always... Landing flat is rough on everything. I had a flat landing a couple weeks ago and just collapsed on the top of the ski. Little bruise on the knee cap was all. But honestly once you start going for it, you will instantly realize flips are a very fun trick to try and the water is pretty soft. Next thing you know you're addicted to throwing them and all kinds of other stuff. I have all sorts of issues with them because I'm still trying to get them down. Wake setup and timing, hitting the wake straight and level, not accidentally pulling my lanyard off when I pull the bars to my chest, staying forward to ride it out, having my idle high enough to help ride away... But all of this is what makes it fun. Enjoy the ride!!

Make sure your feet are locked in the footholds and stay with the ski the whole time. Missed flips are painless as long as you stay on the ski. Sometime you Michigan guys should make a trip over by us to Wisconsin for a weekend ride:)

your feet come out of the holds, your hands rip off the bars or you face plant from not enough rotation. if you have 1000 power you sometimes over rotate and fall off since 1000 power isnt enough power to just hit the gas again and shoot you up again. watching the pros, i first thought over rotating meant done, since thats what it means for me, but huge power and they pull out of any position and into another trick.

Thank you all for the vids and words of wisdom. Today is the day. Sun is shining an the water looks great. I'm sure the cell phones will be rolling so I'll share the success or the agony of defeat! Tks again....

Well this was my first of two attempts. I have only tried to flip one other ride and it was before I have the power I have now so..... I think my position was pretty good but I diddn't give the hard pull in the bars to get the rotation going? My wake seems pretty small watching the vid also. What do you all think?? Trying to attach a vid, bare with me..:)
