Has any one ever done one? I like carving on large barge waves b/c that is as close to surf riding as I have ever been. But on steep rollers (waste to shoulder high) I keep getting the impluse to pull the trim, gas it and try and to roll the ski down the face of the wave. Has anyone else been trying that one large rollers? I can tell that it will require power and trim b/c you need that to launch off a wave that does not crest. I think it is very doable.

The way I see it in my mind is starting at the base of the wave, approach the wave at a 45 degree angle until you get close to the top, snap the bars, throttle and trim. That should launch you into the valley and give you the height to roll the ski. If you land the re-entry I think you will be close to 3/4 down the face of the wave and if still on a 45 degree angle you should be able to stick the landing. I have taken some freaky falls where I land nose first, nose bites and I eat it. How do you surf guys do it? How would you do it w/o a lip on the wave? Do you use a trim on surf BR re-entries? I am a trim junkie so I use it for everything.

why do you say that? I dont have trim, and have never tried a B/R with trim, but I am curious as to what might happen if one did?

the fulgaz vids show a few riders pulling these, they look awsome, dont think trim is needed, but you will need a small crest to give you the pop back into the face

Ive tried a few BR Re-entries on boat wakes...didnt use any trim. If you could land it smoothly it would be sweet. Ive jammed my ankle hard a few times working at it, becuase the water (top of boatwake) you land on after the roll is very dense. Not for a soft landing
