Freestyle Flatwater Friday 2013

So true, everyone is super nice like that and you would let you just jump on and go.

I guess it comes back to the fact if its out of your price range to start you may not want to go out and break it.

Our blaster was rode hard by everyone. We told anyone riding it not to worry and beat it up as much as you want. Now that's a few thousand $ ski not a 10s or 20 or more ski. Put same with my fixed steer Rickter. The steer cable broke at flat water. Kinda sucks but it's all part of it.

I talked to a bunch of people I recognized their skis from the forum and the random people I had never met. I have no problem talking to people.

I simply don't feel comfortable borrowing people's personal skis that I have only had a short conversation with. Many of you may not, but I would feel horrible if I broke someones ride. No one asked to ride my SJ because it's nothing special, but unless it was someone I knew really well, I would have probably said no. I had enough issues with it with me riding it. I would be biting my nails the whole time some stranger who seemed nice was riding it.

Now, if I had known which ski was Jet Maniac's Superfreak with his 800 motor, something that was specificly built for marketing and to be tested by stranger, something I could realistically buy in the next year, I would have no beef riding that strangers ski. I do business with Jetmaniac. I would do more business with Jetmaniac. If something he brought for people to ride broke while I was riding it in normal conditions, I probably wouldn't be upset.

However, the only ski I was going to maybe ride that white BOB with the broken cable. Even though I wouldn't have ridden it as hard as the owner, I would have still felt bad if I broke his ski, returned it broken, said sorry, walked away and jacked his weekend (or at least his day), and mine too because I would have felt obligated to try to fix it.

Demo hulls and personal hulls don't share the same level of personal responsibility, if that makes sense.

I think there are a few riders who should be thanking Lisa for all of her wonderful photography. If anyone feel super thankful, she'd like a stock SXR in Pink. She says she likes "those cute little skulls with the bows and hearts".

I left my ski with Steve for people to ride. I walked away and mingled while it was ridden.
people had to take it easy only due the the steering being loose which became contagious with the carbon vision.

Dont think I got meet you, but I do appreciate you allowing your ski to be demo'd. It was nice to try another jetworks stroker

Lisa has a pretty nice Nikon Camera with a zoom lens. I was looking into a new telephoto lens for her for Xmas but they run b/t $1000-2000 which is way rich for me. I had no idea camera lenses were so expensive. If anyone likes their picture enough that they wish to make a donation toward purchasing a new lens for Lisa, I'm not too proud to accept it. I'll make sure she gets it to set it aside for a new lens or camera someday. A few people giving her a couple of bucks could potentially add up. Just think of what the professional photographers would be charging you to purchase their proof (up to $50 for the full res images). Her camera says D40X on it if someone has upgraded and wants to let go of an older lens for a reasonable price. The lens she was using for these says 55-200mm 1:4-5.6G on it. Feel free to use these images for any personal use. I can send the full res images if you make a donation towards a new lens.
