Freestyle Flatwater Friday?

Is there another flatwater friday this year?

as of now the plan is to be in the surf all 3 days, you are welcome to ride in the flatwater area. but beware of the long no wake zones and obey them. the cops are not the friendlyest over there

i will stay on the surf side thanks i got my ticket there a few years ago the water cops did not like us , and they said our skis were to loud, not mine but there were a few with old style x metal waterbox and guess what they were loud

it was more for the no wake zones i got the ticket for that, and i was not even go crazy thru the no wake zone ,when he was giving us three the tickets for the no wake zone the cop said people were calling in and complaining about the noise and people going to fast thru no wake zones, the people must have freaked what the hell is going on here with all these jet ski guys , i am sure that does not happen that much on a friday in october

Cant you just walk the skis down to the beach and avoid the no wake zone? I didnt actually participate last year, but I was there.

The no wake zone around the corner, to the left of the 64th St. boat ramp is strictly enforced, but you don't have to go there unless you want to launch from the little beach (dolly needed). As far as noise and just a lot of skis are concerned, be advised that the residence across the channel (visible to the left from the launch ramp) has a long record of whining about jetskiers. It's actually quite distant but some people think they own public waters too. Just go about 1/2 mile north of the ramp, channel is deep, some boat traffic when the sun is shining, or closer to the right is all parkland just not very deep.
