Just read the whole post for the first time. Pretty cool. I bet you could generate some significant response if you brought this to Texas.

This year we are planning 3 rides. The lake dias FL ride, mid July at lake Douglas - east Tenn., and late summer in PA. If it developed, we will expand further west next year. All depends on the fund age and interest. Got some other big ideas in the works also.

Considering making Sunday a surf ride. Thoughts, opinions, ideas?

Would ride zone be in front of host hotel ? Would it be possible to make the surf ride decision 3 -4 days out based on surf report ? It could be flat or 1 foot...

It's not a flatwater event if you're riding surf. For people with flatwater only boats 8-12 hours away, making the trip for one day doesn't make much sense. It's great to see the effort for more organized events (surf or FW) for our sport, but IMO you will lose some core flatwater guys if you limit the Flatwater portion to Saturday.
