Flooded sxr. won't start. somebody help.

take your plugs out, turn over the engine for a few seconds and either get new plugs or dry yours out good. start her up and run it somehow to get the water out of the crank. Letting it sit overnight will rust the bearings on the crank.

pull your plugs and crank it 'till water starts quits shooting out of the plug holes. maby stick a finger over them one at a time for a sec to help the water shoot out. when no more water shoots out try 'er again. make sure your plugs are dry before reinstalling them. depending on how 'sunk' your boat was you may have to repeat this process a couple tiomes.

oh yea, thats important too. make sure to let it run for a while to get rid of all that water in the crank. i dont know if it would help to run it easy for a while, as i cracked a crank from hydro-lock. i really REALLY sank mine tho, then i got it started and ran it WOT right away and across the lake. oh well, dont do that~

Still workin on it. only flooded for maybe 20 mins. Wires are grounded. Got a hint of a start, but still nothing. Thios is what I get for showin' off. Thanks, any more input would be apprieciated, and meant to misspell that.

roll it over.
remove the plugs, ground the wires.

pump the primer, or if you dont have one, pour a few spoons of fresh fuel/oil mix in the carb

hit the starter, do this until NO water mist comes out.

you might have to charge and recharge the battery during this process.

when its done spitting.

fresh plugs, prime or dump fuel in the carb again.

if it doesnt fire over, youve got issues.
