My new hull does not have any foam or a sealed bulkhead. I have good bilge system and dual versi plugs but i am looking for some extra insurance. I decided i'm going to stuff every area i possibly can with some sort of flotation. I currently have pool noodles in my rrp tubes. What are my best options.. Noodles, 2 liter bottles, Foam, chunks of old life jackets? Also ordering a retriever just to be safe. I'm too worried when i'm out on the water right now and losing my ski scares the $hit out of me.

Yup getting insurance this week. I was browsing your insurance thread last night..

I have 2 monster breathers in my hood, which i may block off and start using my pole for air.

Cut up pool noodles and shove them in ever nook and cranny inside your engine bay.

For the insurance has anyone ever filed a claim?

I removed my versi plugs and you can see it's completely open under the tray. I am now thinking about blocking off the drains in the engine bay and pouring 2 part foam from the rear versi plug holes then capping over them. I'd have to rely on my bilge for getting water out of the engine bay which i think would be fine and my hull would float.

dont do 2part, then you gotta worry about it getting wet. Just stuff some pool noodles wherever you can, or just get that insurance and don't worry about it like me :)
