Freestyle Flowguard on Buds KDX?

I'm not even sure where the right place to post this is.... so the general section seemed just right.

In retrospect from Flatwater Friday, I keep thinking about how sharply Buds ski would steer.
Someone told me that it had some kind of flowguard, (Not RRP), they described it like a silicone coupler for a B-pipe or something.

Does anyone have any info on this? Maybe some photos?
