Flushing after riding

How do you flush your ski after you ride the ocean?
I plan on riding pismo sometime soon and I usually stay the weekend so I don't want the salt sitting in the ski for a few days

I dont know how you will do it at pismo but most of the harbors have hose hookups for flushing boats and what not. my ski broke bad at pismo so I had to wait till i got home anyways. Hit up a couple of the guys in pismo and ask them like Chong. bet they might even be out riding. or just change the thread name to "Flushing ski at pismo?" that way the pismo guys will see it and chime in

A few days won't hurt, but now I stop in Sac at Miller park for a full freshwater flush on the way home.

i go to pismo and just wait until i get home. i just use water but there is a "Salt-away" solution that you can run through your ski. It has an oil in it that lubricates the inside of the cooling on your ski to prevent salt from sticking and corroding. i used to run that but it was a pain in the butt so i said screw it haha i just clean out my b-pipe jets once a year and have no issues.

I ride salt year round living on the intracoastal, Salt Away is the best stuff to use if a lake is not on the way home. Fresh hose water also works if its a once a year thing. The important thing is to flush it as soon as practical and turn the hose bib wide open. The cooling portions of my head and pipe always look just fine.

Couple days won't hurt. Wax your paint and spray everything down with salt away before and after. Salt away bottle says it lines the metal or something so if you flush with it before you ga supposedly you have a layer of protection. Be careful out there Pacific aint no joke.

when i lived near there chevron on grand heading out to the 101 had free air and water, maybe you could make a little fitting to fit their water dispenser deal. I never rode stand ups then just know of the place because I would air up my tires there.

15 minute flush tapping 1/2 throttle every minute, turn water off with engine still on, finish with fogging oil spraying into carbs for about 10 seconds or until stall.
engine off. tap the start button once or twice to lube the inside.
let dry with hood off.

many hotels have hoses available., you just need the right fitting for your ski.

my motor has seen 5 years of salt with this method. she still rides like new...
