Do you ride your flat water flipping xfr 10 miles up and down the river back and forth too? Riding in surf is much different than river riding. Hell I doubt one could go 10 miles on a dasa 1100 on only 5 gallons. Maybe 1 direction.. some guys I ride surf with have a dasa 950 and another has a et967 in his v2 aquabot. He has a limited slip 4 or 5 gallon tank, after a 45 min surf sesh, he is out of fuel.. we have about a 300 yard ride to the breakers from where we hang out on the Island we go to..
Could absolutely ride it 10 miles. Mine is not set up with a tank big enough for that but if it had a giant tank it could certainly go 10 miles easily and comfortably. All depends what this guy wants to do I guess. If you want a leasurely cruise to the surf get a new super jet I guess. Coming off a little combative, not gonna lie. I’m just posting my experience. Do what you want with that info….

Not trying to be combative haha. Ive ridden one xfr wasn't a big fan of it, had a shorter ride plate on it and i prefer a longer tray. I couldn't see myself riding it that long of a distance comfortably. I'm sure it's more comfortable with a longer plate and pole. And body weight and size plays a big part. The owner of said xfr is much smaller than I am. I'm 6ft 220ish lbs he's probably 5'7ish and 140lb max. Perfect ski for him size wize. Felt too small for me, but for flatwater, it would be good. But set up for flatwater, it's not going to want to ride flat to take it 10 miles. I have a superfreak badass-4.3 and to me it is the perfect length for an all around boat chaser, surf ski. Flatwater flippable with the right engine but it's definitely not a flatwater ski. It has a pretty standard-ish engine setup in it. No power valves or anything

Ya I’m not saying XFR is perfect for everyone just a good ski for me. I’m 5’10” 220lb. With the sponsons on it’s honestly a totally different ski. I’ve heard V3 is a good hybrid as well but don’t know first hand.

There's 2 v3s in my group both with similar setups but both ride a little different. They're a pretty loose ski. I definitely like it a lot better than the v2 because of the longer tray.

I don't believe the xfr I rode had sponsons either. There's soo. Many little things that dramatically change the way a ski rides.

So what I keep hearing is the XFR is perfect for Sparkplug and Jcary85 and the Superfreeak badass is perfect for Fastfairlane , I don't make ski recommendations because the ski that is perfect for my needs and riding style probably won't fit him and his riding style .

For sure I don't care if my ski is flippable or not, not my bag , if I can't ride the ski comfortably wide open down the lake I don't want it , to each his own and he will have to make that decision for himself.

My advice is , don't let anyone on here tell you what to buy , go to some rides . people will let you ride their skis usually , ride enough of them to figure out which ski will work for you.

Dude. You don't even ride a am hull. But your in here telling people how they ride. Wtf. Have you spent seasons on a am hull? Or just tried your buddies? The jet skis made in bedrock are a little outdated

Yes. I can ride my xfr 10 miles. I blip the throttle. Brap. Brap. Brap. It's very easy to keep it around 35 mph with just throttle blips. I have a rrp tank ATM. And I would wager I can get 10 out of it if I had to or I'd die. 4.8 sj tank would be cake. The Tehama bridge in tehama.is about 1 mile from my ride spot. I can ride to it and back. At least 2 times. On 1 tank of fuel in my xfr. And that's getting to the bridge and playing around a bit.

Imagine spending 7k for a 701 sj. With a 144 pump. Non adjustable pole. Stock electronics. Water in the tray. Who knows who did what footholds. And a hood that will shatter to pieces after 10 or so failed rolls. When you coudla spent 8-12k and got a 155. Bullet adjustable pole. Purpose built engine. And a hull that is fun to ride and actually can take the beating freestyle throws at it?

I'm 5 11. 175 lbs ish. When I ride distance. I have both feet against the bulk head. And the pole basically in my junk. It's super comfortable and easy to ride.

Any squid can cruise the lake on a 650sx and use it like a grocery getter but if tricks is what you want out of a ski, I recommend getting some sort of aftermarket hull with the most powerful motor you can afford. Even if it's a 701, you're still going to have to learn to ride an AM hull before you can stunt. Unless you ride ocean bigger surf. Being bigger, everything you throw a leg over is going to give you less than if you were a skeleton taped to the bars

Aftermarket hulls come in only two sizes, short and really short. Adjusting the hull area at the rear end and the pole length can make any hull perfect for different size riders and/or riding conditions.

Dude I believe you're is the word you are looking for , your means it belongs to you . Coudla, I believe you meant could have , those red lines under your words in your post means you failed at spelling and grammar and need to try again.

I award you no points , I feel slightly dumber from reading your post and may God have mercy on your soul

Why do the same 2 dudes, who have never and will never flip a jetski, feel the need to answer every single thread on this forum about flipping a jetski? "You have no frame of reference here, Donny! You're like a small child who wanders into the middle of a movie.."

Probably because this is still America and it's on a forum people like me get to voice their opinions whether they are right or wrong.

BTW how do you know if I have ever backflipped a ski or not, what's your frame of reference ?

Educated guess. I've seen the pic you post of you doing a 'boner air' on your x2 from a few decades ago. How'd you know I was talking about you?

What the hell… I’ll piss on this dumpster fire…

I am not a top level talent but i have won races on flat water and in the surf against moderately competitive classes. I even finished first in series points once because I traveled to all the races that year. I have lots of varied experience in the surf, flat water, river, on all types of skis.

I have a freestyle ski with a dasa 1100.
It’s a newest (pro series?) Revolver in the “L” (longer) length. I don’t do combos but I can flip it. I will be the first to admit that I bought that flip. the right ski will do all the work for you so you can get that picture of you upside down, but doing combos and a wide variety of tricks takes talent.

I couldn’t imagine having to ride it as a normal rec ski. The fun factor is just not there for general hot rodding around. Sure I could take it down the river show everyone how cool I am by Throwing a fat backie for anyone who will look in my direction.

I have a handful of superjets for rec riding and buoy riding.

Now I have never ridden this magical XFR, but I am having a hard time believing the hype. Anyone who claims a flip ski can shred buoys looses all credibility imo. Putting a d-cut rideplate on a Superjet makes it a turd for any high speed flat water riding. Shortened? Front end rocker? No splash guard on the nose? That thing is going to just hop and blind you with spray. Oh and it has a dasa 1100? Yea that thing is really going to hop coming out of a corner. The dasa 1100 is not the baddest powerhouse out there but if you give it the biscuits they pull pretty good. If you propped it to take some of the hit away it wouldnt tire you out as fast but You have a heavy fiberglass xfr you’re flatwater flipping so that’s probably not an option and you’ll just have to rely on that superman strength to hold on for more than 2 laps…

I’ll tell ya what. I will stretch my pole out, see if I can get @High Speed Industries to loan me an extra long ride plate and I’ll see how the revolver does rec riding

this site is full of bad advice. Here’s mine: flips are overrated, just buy a Superjet and go splash around with your buddies.

High speed? The dude who's gf rides better than him?? Lmfao

Call me out. Put your money where your mouth is. I got the most recent hero. I'll video me flipping over a buoy. Then a 350 over it. Then I'll ride around it with the nose touching it for 20 circles. Then I'll turn sub under it. Then I'll tail whip it 10 ft away. Then I'll ride up to my buddy and grab a beer out of his hand. And ride to the tehama bridge. And take a drink. All with 1 hand.

100 bucks. Who's putting up the money

I only ride with superjets. None of my buddies have am hulls. I ride circles around them in every aspect of riding. They get pump blasted off their skis regularly. You all act like I don't have a apples to oranges comparison. I own a superjet. And a blaster. And a Evo. And a xfr. I have a quiver of skis that is completely rounded.

I’m sure you’re very talented and you’re doing great things out there.

Post that video and I will send you the 100 bucks. If you’re as great as you say I should be able to make copies and sell it for thousands.

Joey is an alright guy. I don’t know why you felt the need to attack(?). I tagged him because he is the local revolver dealer. he would have the +3” plate Or whatever they make for these things.

Because I call out the salesman of this sport. Dude bought out stock of superjets. Immediately marked them up. And re sold them as a scavenger on the market for a huge markup. I call out a vulture when I see it. I've spent prob 3k with that company before all that.

Pretty well known that company is your friend while your spending money.

I used to hate on jet maniac. But ill.admit the wrong. And that him and wax, are the ONLY sellers on here that actually care about riders and if they are on the water. Every single one of the others. Would stop returning your text as soon as the invoices stopped being paid.
