Focus T25/P90X3

Anyone done the T25 workout dvd from beachbody?

The wife and I just started last night...I was pretty skeptical as to how effective a 25 minute workout would be but I figured I'd still give it a shot and support the wife. Needless to say, I was struggling through the first workout and I'm sore as hell today. I did p90x a few years ago and I didn't think there was any way this 25 minute trainer gig could make me hurt like that did...I was wrong. Curious to see if anyone else has done this and what their results were? How'd you like it?

Yup. The wife and I have done it. 25 minutes will no doubt get it done! However, for me T25 was too cardio based with very similar workouts that all worked the legs quite a bit (not saying you dont work your core and upper body, but felt leg based to me).
I am currently on day 24 of P90x3 and loving it (also have done P90x). Great mix of cardio and resistance training. I am not sure what all is said about T25 but I know for P90X3 the science behind it shows that you will work harder in the shorter period of time than the hour workouts. Light at the end of the tunnel thing.

My wife got the T25 and didn't like it. She started the 21 day fix series yesterday and says they are much more challenging.

I'll make you a good deal on the T25 if you are interested.

Didn't she get you X3? I thought thats what she said, but maybe it was T25.

I agree with Boyer T25 is a good program but wasn't for me. BTW your wife is my Beachbody Coach :)

Nice! Glad to hear you didn't hate the T25...I was torn on going with that or the new p90x3. Legs burning for sure...the cardio workout was all legs. I do like how fast this goes...it was over before I knew it. When I did the original p90x I struggled with how much time some of the workouts took. How true is the p90x3 to the 35 minute (I think) advertised time per workout?

well I havent done them all yet but so far everyone has been 35 or less. But they do have an optional 12 minute cold start you can do before the workout if your feeling stiff. I agree the orginial p90x is great and Ill still bust it out from time to time after I complete this 90 days but still hour and half yoga is pretty long, you really have to schedule that.

Good to hear, might have to give it a shot after the T25. What kind of results did you notice (if any) from T25?

Well I didnt make it through the program, since my wife left for her busy season (living at a hotel for work), then I started P90x3; so I really can't answer that. Ill let you know how P90x3 works out though. I'm sticking to it and trying to eat healthy, with only 24 days I can already see some results.
(Im about 170 5'10" and roughly 12% body fat, trying to get that back to single BMI digits).

I'm out of town during the week too so I have all of them converted to play on my ipad. :)
Also have the HDMI output cable so I can put it up on the TV from the ipad as well.

Whitca let us know how you like your workout tonight. Also make sure to do the photos, and submit them to team beachbody for tshirt and other prizes. If you have a beachbody coach contact them to see if there are any T25 challenge groups you can get in for additional prizes and motivation!

Will do, we did the photo/measurements Sunday. I'm pretty sure my wife ordered through a coach, I'll have her look into the bonus stuff, thanks for the heads up!

I'm moved by DASA power!
I need a beachbody coach. I'm already losing motivation and I have my first two a day tonight to somehow get in. I thought I could do anything for 25 minutes. Evidently im fatter than I thought.

Tonight's our fist two a day as well...not looking forward to it. I am feeling "lighter" and sleeping better after just 4 days which is nice.

I haven't even found the ambition to start any of the 3 programs we currently have at the house. In fact, I never even popped in a single disc from the original P90X series I got over 5 years ago. I'm not really a video workout kind of guy though. My wife loves them and has an entire rack of different series.

Just build a better gym! Our entire open area in the basement is our gym (finished basement, minus the ceiling), Two joust mounted pull bars, heavy bag, tv, bench press, mats, mirror, bands hanging from wall, band pull up set up, tape lines for (agility X), and ofcourse the Marine Corps Colors. I love working out at the house. Starting week 5 of X3 Sunday, Haven't missed a day yet.
