Hey well im new to the whole free style and blog stuff so if you dont mind bare with me, But I finally had the chance to buy a 2001 750 sxi pro for a pretty smoking deal i think $1900, its bone stock with two owners and looks to be low hours.....what do you guys think?
any ways, I have owned 650sx, 550, X-2, etc but im looking to deck this one out and hopefully have enough power to get me out of the water and pulll tricks, Im a big guy (6ft 3,230lbs) but what ride plate, scoop gate, impeller, pipe and such do you guys recommind? along with footholds? I wear a size 16 shoe and have not been able to find anything much on them...........
or does anyone have anything good for sale?
any and all help will help

Hopefully get your money back out. For that you should be able to get a nice square 701 with a pipe.

hmmm i may have to look in to that, I met a guy this passed weekend selling a 00 superjet i think set up for limited class or something for racing, he had it all dected out, im not sure about the exact parts, maybe a factory pipe and bigger motor and such and he wanted like $4000?

depending what is on a 2000 SJ 4k is probably not a bad deal

the kawai is not a bad deal at 1900 but I would probably go round nose SJ (96 or newer)

If it helps, I rode a 750sxi for a while (never in the big surf) and though it was a great ski it's nothing compared to the super jet I just picked up. The super jet just feels very solid and is super reliable which is important in the surf. You should definitely be able to make a little money on that ski. I would agree with the others and start looking for a round nose sj or square nose if you don't want to spend the extra money. If you find a square nose with a 701 you could start on that and later down the road purchase a Round nose hull and swap everything over.

I havent rode the superjets very much, I may go talk to that guy and see what kind of deal i can work out with him on......
I dont plan on doing much surf riding since I live in new mexico, its abit to far for me........ ill mainly do wake jumping flat stuff. any recommendations for the sxi? I may cruise that for now and keep it as a back up ski and try to buy a superjet.

Honestly, I hate riding my buddies Kawasaki 750 but love riding my 02 SJ. He rode my SJ the other day when it was running like crap and said he would still prefer it over his good running Kawi.

Kind of back to your initial question - I have WDK Rev holds in my SJ and there is way more room than I need for my size 12 foot. They take a little getting used to but they aren't bad.
