Foot Placement on Kawi 550

I just bought a sweet '86 Kawi 550 with a bunch of mods. I've got 4 rides on it now and have a pretty good grasp on what I'm doing. The only thing I am struggling with is the proper foot placement (or weight placement)when making tight turns. My natural stance wants to be feet staggered with left foot forward, but I've noticed that right turns tend to be harder than lefts with this stance. Are you supposed to switch stances for right and left turns? When I experimented with both feet together, the back of the ski tends to not hook up as much and slide out more. Any tips?

left foot (or right) and back foot placed at the rear going across the tray. This way gives you the best balance and control, you just rock with the ski.
