Footholds & Turfing on an Old School SX/JS

Has anyone ever installed footholds on an Old School 550SX or JS hull ?? If so...what footholds did you use ?? Any tips,tricks or helpfull hints ?? What about turfing them ?? I've got a '93 Kaw 550SX that has the junk azzed rubber tray pads/mats removed and as you know the tray area is a bit different than a JS hull.

you shouldn't have a problem using the 24-7 universals on that ski.
I've seen people build up the indentions on the top of the gunwhale with foam before turfing to get a better finished look after turfing too.
