Don’t waste time doing poop like that during summer. Just surf strap and shred that’s all you need.
I’d just wood screw and put thrust mini drains in your tray. That way you don’t have tear up turf and don’t have to worry about a waterlogged tray.

A helmet isn’t a bad choice either, concussions aren’t fun.

Find me one person that has successfully used wood screws that have actually held. They wont. That is really bad advice.

Look man homedepot and some straps is all anyone could ever need, you’re just crazy with all that fiberglassing, or putting inserts that actually hold.

I have holds in my 14 superjet and ride with a buddy that doesn't have them. I feel I have so much better control on my 14. Firstly, you are wider while riding and you can manipulate the tray much more. Secondly I feel that a safety factor plays into keeping the tray in control. Lastly, I probably have 50 hours on them and they certainly help fatigue factor!
