Footwells for SXR

I just bought an SXR, :Banane19: and am embarking on the modding process slowly- setting the ski up for mild to medium surf riding/wave jumping and some basic tricks- not anything crazy- I don't plan on getting inverted right now or any of that crazy stuff until I get more proficient.
I have been reading a few of the SXR owner's threads and have some ideas how I want to get started.
I am looking at these footwells:

I am not too keen on punching huge holes in my boat, defoaming, refoaming, etc.. to install the other footwells, and these seemed to be ideal for me and my fiberglass modding skills..lol...comments? Pros, cons?
I am also planning on the following:
1) Scupper/ or duckbill
2) Bilge
3) Hoop straps
4) Limiting rope
5) Intake/ Plate
6) FP wet pipe
7) ODI grips
8) Billet trigger
9) Hydroturf (with the footwells above)

Trying to keep the budget reasonable also.

Good start for sure.. A full foot well isn't a very difficult install.. It really depends on how big your feet are for which brand to use.. you also might want to get a light battery and put a d-cut in the stock plate.. set of UMI bars.. and when your ready an Aluminum flywheel.. cant say enough.. also work on shedding some weight from the ski..

I personally would just get normal footholds, you wil most likely out grow the mashers and want them anyway. May as well save yourself a few bucks and do it right the first timel. Footholds are not that hard to install but if you really arn't sure about it than I am sure there are other local riders that would be more than willing to give you a hand with the install. And if you are serious about doing a scupper than it would be a good time to do both. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks, guys. I know what you are saying about the holds, Jetx, and I will consider your point.
I forgot about the handlepole, wnb800. That's also something to consider.
What is your guys' opinion on footstraps in place of footwells? Since I don't plan on going too crazy right now, I was thinking about just going that route. I was going to put straps on my Blaster before it died. I am just thinking of ease of installation and since this is a new ski, I didn't want to go tearing it up so bad and fu**ing it up with shoddy fiberglass work and other stuff. I was thinking of going with the molded in footwells once I started getting better and doing more tricks....but for right now I want to keep it as simple as possible.

i just put those footholds in my sxr and cant say enough good things about them. i know they arent full holds and all, but i get inverted all the time with em and they work great for me. in fact, i kinda like having it so easy when i wanna get out of em, the peace of mind of knowing i can get out if im gonna have to bail is nice. As always personal preference rules on these decisions. i will say this though, easy to install and nice and roomy as i have a size 12 foot and when coupled with my shoes. now i just need to start learning how to barefoot at 40 mph next to the ski, ha!

depends what you like to ride in for footwear.. kickers get pretty narrow up front, if anything don't put padding inside the foot hold area then you can wear shoes at least.. doesn't matter if your fiberglass is shoddy its all covered by turf anyways

the kickers arent bad, but they are a bit small if you wanna wear shoes. i rode skis with straps and holds and i personally like holds better, i just felt safer for some reason, i dont know its all opinion. a foothold install is nothing to be scared of, its not bad at all. the list you have up top is a great start for a freestyle sxr.

by the way your a good man going with kawi, i am sick of all the blue in these parts.....

footstraps 100% if you plan on surfriding..
