A 450 quad can match with a 250 bike.

only in a drag race, and only if you get the hole shot. if the bike is geard correctly, it will out accelerate and leave you eating roost. it's all about power to weight ratios. and quad engines are DE-tuned bike engined on a chassis thet weight twice as much... do the math.

add turns or trees and the wheelchair doesnt stand a chance.

it takes nut sacks to jump a quad like that..................i could get on any dirt bike and launch it....takes zero skill:notworthy:

I prefer 2 wheels over the 4. But holy crap you got some balls. You got my respect.....

I could see having a quad myself but would be afraid of getting out of shape on a jump and eating it..... Not worth the chance for me!!!!!!!

oh, Phuk the naysayers!!!!!!

I agree Ive never jumped a quad more than 10 inches off the ground lol. But I have launched nice airs on dirtbikes. Nice pics btw, and get a better camera out there next time.

im gettin another bike thas for sure miss being able to whip that mug.......think im go with the two stroke yami.. i have never riddin a 4 stroke dirtbike...how much diff. are they?

honestly, ive had both. i'll probably never ride a 2stroke for anything longer than messing around on the track for 10-20 minutes once every 2-3 months maybe. theyre fun for a few minutes. thats about it.

my boss is a DIEHARD 2 stroker. i get to hear every excuse/reason why a 2 stroke is better every day at work, lol. on top of that, he just dropped another $1600 on his '06 rm250 this week (black excels w/talon hubs, rg3 complete triple clamp set, new 773's, etc). we left work at noon yesterday and went to the track. around midway through the day he finally says to me, "alright, let me try out your 450F"... (he's never ridden a 4stroke either).. off he went. comes back 20 minutes later shaking his head... he then says to another guy in our crew "let me try out your kx450F now".. comes back in 10 minutes shaking his head again.. when we ask him what's up, he says, "my wife is gonna kill me, i need a 4 stroke". and that, is a true story.

but, like i tell everyone else that asks me this same question every day; don't take my word for it, just go to the track and count the number of 2 strokes vs 4 strokes. go to your local track and form your own opinion. ask the A-B riders what they prefer and why. when youre ready to seal the deal, turn on your television and watch any mx/sx race. the number of 2strokes 99.9999% of the time is ZERO.

the 4stroke haters will chime in i'm sure with their bla bla and thier whine whine excuses. when you hear this malarky, you just have to consider your source... which is why i tell you, talk to the REAL DEAL A-B riders at your local track. don't listen to keyboard badasses or guys who maybe rode a dirtbike 10 years ago, did a wheelie or two, and think they still have a clue... lol. form your own opinion.

just think about what happens when kids come on here and say they want to start freeriding/freestyling and what everyone thinks about this SICK 550SX for sale in their neighborhood that has a westcoast pipe and head and looks badass.... same thing...

The YZ 250 weights 212 pounds, the YFZ 450 weights 350 pounds. Power to weight is about the same.

I'd like to add just one thing here. I went from a 4t back to a 2t because of one thing... feel. I just plain ride better on a 2t and it's mostly impart to the differences in the way the engines feel and deliver power. and I HATE engine braking. and 4t are more top heavy.

I will concede that most of what Edwin is saying is true to a point. but what it really comes down to is what the rider prefers. both bikes have there benifits. but to declare one as the hands down superior to everything master of all.. thats just plain crazy. you can talk all that thumper smack you want about what goes on at the track, but smokers rule the wood, and THAT is a fact. use your one model and see what woods racers are riding. ORANGE smokers. :smokin:

2 smokes rule the woods and trails... yeah, there's something be proud of ....

:haha:

this is the OPPOSITE of trail riding... up top, a 4stroke, down low, a 2 stroke. :)
