What material is the pole? Maybe some JB weld slathered on there and throw some rivets in.........

The early poles on the Octanes and the UMI's that came on them later were and still are weak. Not designed for this kind of abuse.

No JB weld!!! I did for sure over extend on wake and will have limit strap on next pole.. Simply shattered in to pieces.. But looking for something to hold up in future..

Exponentially less, Octane hoods are laid up like a saltine cracker.. The glue is about as strong as playdoh.. Sj hoods can take a much more substantial beating and usually hang on for the remainder of the ride.

And as far as pole damage goes. Your just as likely to break an aluminum pole on a sj. It's all a about angle and pressure.. If you let the two come into play.. Anything it possible
