FR2 Trim Cable

Hey guys!

Just got a rickter fr2 with an x-scream 771, can't wait to ride it.

Anyhow, the trim cable has seized and I have a replacement. I was just wondering what is usually involved in doing these?

Surely I don't have to remove the engine?

Any help appreciated!

Thanks

Nope just pull it through the hull and pole very easy. Make sure everything nozzle related is adjusted properly after. Make sure the cable is sealed back at the pump.so you don't flood your hull and sink the ski.

I just did did a steering cable and some skis are a lot easier if you remove at least the tank I know I had to. I tape a strong string or a electrical fish taped to the end of the cable and tape it back on the new one to aid in fishing the new one in,it helps to guide it thru and you don’t have remove things. At least it’s just the trim cable and you can ride without it.

Thanks heaps! I've asked multiple places and not heard anything.

Is there a gland that tightens around the trim cable on the jet pump side of the bulkhead, I'm assuming? Or is just sealant used?

Thanks
