Frankenstein Motor?

I decided to go against my gp800 in my fx-1 project and stick with a 701. ive heard good things about the frankenstein motor. i have a mint 62t motor ebox and carbs. i want the best Freestyle bottom end machine.... What exactly has to be done?

People run them because they're cheap and easy to build.
Not because they're "the best Freestyle bottom end machine".

Port & big bore your current motor, throw some nice carbs on it, maybe Total Loss.

Yes, that's what's in every 96+ SJ.

You want to stick with T-cases and dual carbs or the ATP single manifold.


Give us your budget...it'll be alot easier to make recommendations.

John must have bought the GP800 stuff from you, he is getting the parts to build his big bore 927cc. Good luck with the 62t build, it doesn't take much to make an FX-1 a HANDFUL!!!!!!
