yeah spokane PD is a waste and if Im not mistaken the ppl you bought from are tweakers that live across the street from my parents (sort of 10 acre parcels) Ill go over there after work if I have time. If not tomorrow anyway. But the cops MIGHT do something as they have used my folks property to do "surveillance" on that house.

For tracking purposes, I will post when I have made attempts to contact Rich. I left a voice message on both the cell and home numbers and indicated that he needs to contact me and make arrangements to ship the motor or give me my money back. I indicated that failure to do so will result in involving authorities such as the US Postal Inspectors......

I updated the title to reflect more accurately what is going on. I will continue to update this thread as new info becomes available and hopefully the info will help others. I have been an ebayer for a while and this is the first time I have had this kind of trouble.......I had some reservations about this particular ebay auction and ebayer but I did check it out further but goes to show ya it can still happen anyway.

Present a copy of his confirmation that he received the money order to your post master, see what he/she has to say.

I'm sure there is a time period that you will have to wait to receive the item but after that it becomes a case of Federal Fraud.

Boris, yeah I have it in an email that he acknowledged receiving the money order.....so we'll see....I am waiting for a tracking number, will make one more attempt to get it.

get with the post office right away. if you paid with a postal m/o, that is mail fraud, and a felony. it takes a while, so get the ball rollig right away.

I agree John.....only thing is I am using that fact as leverage at the moment to attempt to complete the transaction because once I file, I can't change my mind (unless I am mistaken). Plus, that does not necessarily mean I get my money back. I have a dispute filed with ebay also. I am in diplomat mode for the moment. When that changes, it will be too late and he will be dealt with accordingly (legally, of course)

For the record, I just left another voicemail at the home number requesting the tracking number. I will be going to the postmaster tomorrow morning if I do not receive any call or confirmation of tracking number.

Ok.....I called tonight to both the home and cell numbers and left a voice message and notified him "calmly" that since there has been no response since his acknowledgement of receipt of the money order (either by communication or producing a tracking number) I am to assume now that he will not refund my money or ship the motor. I then also indicated that this is mail fraud (among other things) and therefore a felony. I indicated that I will be pursuing legal action beginning tomorrow. I will update as events occur. BTW, special thanks to Matt_E, Snackem, and Freestylin-FX1 for their help. Thanks guys for your .02 and advice.....I'll keep ya posted and hopefully this thread will help someone else down the road.......
