Free Form Factory electric ski?

Has anybody seen or ridden one of these things?

Their launch party was supposed to be this summer, but I can't find any evidence that it actually happened...

Looked at them awhile back. I think it was $35k for a ski, built by a company that failed with their previous hull design, using a technology yet to be used, let alone perfected in a water environment. Big pass from me.

I think that was the price for 2 skis + a trailer :p I noticed that on the watercraft journal article.

They're using an engine made by Zero (the motorcycle company), so at least there's been some road testing. And I wonder how much difference being on water makes since there's no intake or exhaust. Couldn't the engine compartment basically be sealed?

It's a super niche product but I think it's cool that they're trying. Electric skis will probably be commonplace in 5 years.

You could be right on the price, but that seems really cheap considering what electric dirt bikes are still going for. I am all for electric skis, i think once the tech is there they would be great. I just dont think the tech is there yet.

I was going to buy the 2.0 hull but they were all hey wait for 3.0 cant tell you anything about but the reveal!! Turns out the reveal was the same hull i wanted WITH a 10K electric motor I had zero interest in because of the short ride time and long charge time. I suggested that selling it with 3 batteries that you could hot swap like server blades would be the poop. But you know .... Anyway they were also NOT selling just the hull anymore. The hull looked so boss!! Even at #100 with a full frame. Anyway, yours looks like hot sex on a plate! #BadAss To be fair they did call me with a used hull that showed up. I had already put a deposit down on a Krash by then.

It actually isn't that bad for weight I thought they said just bare hull with hood and chassis is 70 lbs ! All I'm missing really right now is handle pole and when I pick up on both ends it doesn't really feel that much heavier than my carbon gen2 water Logged BOB
