Utilizing a part that we all throw away or have several just laying around.
The OEM Yamaha overheat, temp sensor.
You will need:

The OEM Yamaha overheat, temp sensor.
You will need:
- Yamaha OEM temp sensor. (removed from the E-box)
- Straight pick or small flat tip screw driver
- Wire cutters
- Take your straight pick or flat tip screw driver and wedge it between the metal base of the temp sensor and the rubber grommet.
- Pull on the metal temp sensor while holding the rubber grommet to expose the wires and slide the rubber grommet out of the way.
- Cut the Pink And Black wires close to the base of the metal temp sensor.
- Then remove the rubber grommet AKA, "THRU HULL SEAL"
You can use zip ties or SS hose clamps to mount securely.
