Alright so my wammer super jet engine is down for a rebuild before the next season. So im riding my Freeride 550 again.
First day was ok didn't like it.
Second day got back into the swing of riding it and was rippin.
Thats when i decided i was going to use my technique and roll it like I have allways wanted to do.
second try I get it going Pinned into a 5 ft face in surf stance, Stoaked! :bananalama:
4th time going for one I land hard on the side and the bulkhead tried to rip out of the ski again, cracking the bond line apart again where I had reinforced it after the first time. :banghead:
So I went to Performance fiberglass and ground out the crack and scuffed the inside of the bulk head and the side of the ski.
Solution was this time after we fixed the front and layed some carbon scraps I had left over, we glassed the bulkhead and the ski together with some Bio-weave.
2 days of riding afterwords I have beat it to hell and its holding stronger that it has ever held! Roll after Roll. :bananapowerslide:
Then towards the end of that second day I do a decent sized inverted nose stab in Unknowing to me, 7 ft of water :stups.
CRACK! NOSE JOB, STUFFED IT :banghead:uch:
I instantly started taking on water but with 2 bilge pumps and a versi plug I still rode for 30 min before going in.
Turns out the bottom deck and hit so hard it separated from the top deck of the nose :eek5:
So i groud it all up really ugly and slapped some epoxy glue over it to make it water tight and semi strong for the next days ride.
Eye Karumba this ski and Engine are for SALE
It won't survive my riding much more!
But I'm going to backflip it tomorrow if surf is good to make one last Youtube video of the Kawasaki 550 SX-F
