Here's a 98' Sxi Pro I picked up from Wamiltons just after New Years.
So far here's what I've done;
-Removed the fuel door made a mold of it then glassed it in to hull, going to used a internal fuel fill.
-Added foot holds.
-Extened the rails.
-Added handholds to the stock hood, but shaved down the fins on the fake air intakes. Blocked off the front air intake and added a new rear one. Also shaved off a lot of weight (stock 19.5lbs) mine 14.75lbs
-Now the paint! I took the pictures with my phone so there not the best but here's what I did; 2 coats of primer, 2 coats of silver base, 6 coats of clear with metal flake, 3 coats of clear, 3 coats of "Indy green", 1 coat of "Sunrise yellow" over the green, 2 hours of black pin striping by hand (that was not fun), 3 more coats of clear. I started this project in Feb and just pulled it out of the booth last night.
More to come!
Have a look and tell me what you think?
