If there is any waves out there, monster hole will amplify it by 2-3 times. A 2' swell will be 4-6' surf.

No doubt. The biggest waves Florida has to offer.
For that, now and then, I'll put up with the crazy long no-wake zone and the silly launching rules.

there is no 'surf' at monster hole....there is a wave.....a. single. wave. in just the right spot ......its a fun time if the company is right, but the break itself is for surfers...not big enough to support a freeride

Pleny of rides have been held there in the past. Idok's assessment of the wave situation is credible. Monster hole is a pretty small area. The rest of the shorebreak is not much different than what the rest of Florida has to offer.

idk, I think that shore break is pretty different than anywhere else. I've never seen a wave break onto dry land like it does there. You can be wave riding one minute and unintentionally beached the next.

And there is a strangely interesting "lull" between the monster hole area and the shorebreak.

Sebastian inlet....no matter how you pick it apart, has the best waves in Florida.


A good jetski attendance is the only way to overcome the surfer issue.

Surf at monsta ho can be wicked good. Definately a place for big surf.
