FreeStyle Build

I have been dying to have a flipable hull ever since I started riding but I have Multiple projects going on so I never have the money to spare to buy myself an aftermarket hull. That being said I have the skill and the materials to cut up a hull to make a freestyle hull. My question is which Hull do yall think would be the best to cut up? Im open to any Ideas! And before everyone jumps straight to a superjet hull, consider price and amount of work. I do have a Rn Superjet currently but would like to keep that setup for the surf.

FInd a cheap BOB or similar. I have seen some hulls in general on here from $1400-$2500 and probably would save yourself a lot of time and money going that route.

Second what the Ripper said. I have a chopped SN in the garage that is a constant reminder of how much time and money goes into these things. If your priority is budget you seriously are better off working OT or odd jobs to pay for a used hull. Also, these "experiments" are usually more fun to watch as build threads than they are as rides.

Having chopped and repaired a few skis. Get your self a used bob or maxx hull.

Unless you plan on chopping up a ski to make a mold and building a new hull out of that mold. It is not going to be what you think you want.

Don’t waste your time on cutting up an oem hull to “freestyle” on. It’ll end up being way too heavy and won’t ride like a freestyle hull should. Even the cheapest freestyle hull will be better. There was a Lenzi hull up for sale for only like $800 a few weeks back.

In 20 some odd years of jetskiing I don't think I have ever seen one of the chopped stock hulls do a flatwater flip. Anyone? It sounds good on paper but the laws of physics prove otherwise lol.

If you want to widen the tray on your RN, take a couple inches off the back and rocker the nose for surf riding it would be worth it.
