oh no i was talking about the white one posted earlier. the carbon interior is the finer things i expect from a high dollar hull. that is gorgeous.

Although to respond to your post, I don't think anyone should expect sloppy work on a baseline model. The craftsmanship should be high quality for $3500. You aren't paying for the materials, you're paying for the craftsmanship, which makes up the majority of the cost.

Being a demo unit, I wouldn't expect production units to look like that.

What would material cost be on a glass hull?

depends on the material, the resin, the weight size of hull. too many variables. and Dalton thats exactly my point. the extra time and care is why i would be paying for a higher finish quality. bottom of market right now is the 3500$ price point. so at that point i expect quality to be in durability not in a perfect finish in my engine bay. its an engine bay lol. but i have never been a pretty engine guy. outside is all i care about along with performance but thats just my opinion.

ill take a $3500 hull that in 3 years it is still structurally perfect than something like a gen 1 bob that was pretty but fell apart :p

If they are going with a "good" layup, I don't see why they would hand lay the hulls. The additional cost in consumables to infuse the hulls is marginal. Now if the goal is economy and the layup is chop and a gp poly resin, it makes sense to see a hand lay. At 75 lbs, I would assume they are using a "good" layup though. Chop/poly at that weight would be eggshell tough.

It doesnt matter. Clearly FF did not bag them. What would the point be to bag chop mat?

The bagged ones in that picture are from a very reputable hull building company with experience. Goes to show you the difference in quality from a company who has been building for a while and a company who just bought the molds. Everyone has to start somewhere though.

That's not including hardware like your figures. Just the glass and epoxy to make a 100 pound 2 yard long hull. It'll be a little different for every hull.

Pretty sure its a havoc. Looks like their work. Some of their dead give aways are the bead rolled tubes, scupper screen, and those bagged mounts.

I think you need to start producing somebodies hulls, lol. You do some beautiful work. This new Backie Chan is scaring me a little.
