Freestyle JetSki Insurance

Hey Everyone,

After a recent scare last summer and hearing everyone's story it has made me wonder and want to get insurance for my ski. I believe I saw someone post about how they got their ski insured but I can't seem to find the tread. If anyone has insured their ski or if anyone has any information on how to I would greatly appreciate it.

I was previously insured with SafeCo. They actually handled my claim for cracked hull over the summer very well. However, when I bought a new ski (DVX) they would not insure it. I suspect they won't insure these type of skis anymore, but you could try. Just don't send them the website for the hull manufacturer that shows a bunch of pics/videos of huge aerial maneuvers. Following to see who others are using....

Formost insurance offers agreed upon value policy’s starting about 2 years ago about...

Safeco also offered this type of policy in the past, but stopped writing new customer pwc policy’s. That was 3 years ago or so.. Iam not sure what current status is..

+1 On Formost. Got it thru local independent agent. As he put it,” You can insure anything if you want to pay for it”.

Whatever insurance you go with, make sure you thoroughly read the policy to see what is covered. I had an issue with my boat due to a freak accident (I snagged a beach towel or a plastic bag on my outdrive, which caused my motor to starve for water and it seize), and insurance wouldnt cover it because they dont cover anything relating to "overheat". After that incident, I have a hard time believing that insuring a standup would be helpful at all.

Good point... one area I know is not covered with Safeco is while at an event...
Stacey was real good about pointing that out...

I heard about "Xinsurance" recently. I think they insure Mark Gomez, so it's worth looking into.
